Week 2 of our 'Meet the team' series
Meet Ella a childcare assistant across all rooms in the setting
1 My name is Ella Dennis and I am a childcare assistant at Noah’s Ark. I work across all sections but im more based in Tweenies, after school club and holiday club.
2 I have my achieved level 2 childcare, play, learning and development and I’m working towards level 3 currently. I have completed first aid, safeguarding, food safety, ELSA training and many more short courses.
3 I have worked in childcare since September 2024 and have loved the experiences I have gained since starting at the Ark and my confidence has grown massively.
4 I love childcare as I love watching and helping new children to settle into sections and its so rewarding seeing the children’s personalities come out and shine. I love the relationships and bonds I have with the children and the staff at Noah’s ark, it really is the best job.
5 I love the Gruffalo and have done since I was child, so reading it in setting nostalgic for me! I have the biggest obsession with sharks, so jaws is my favourite film. I love a trip or a walk in the community, being out and about!
6 I like to be fun, but understanding and fair to all the children in my care. I love to do group activities with the children and make the setting feel like home from home.
7 A quote I like to use is ‘That’s wicked’, when praising the children or other staff.
8 My favourite activities in setting are messy plays, especially those involving shaving foam, paint or slime. I love to watch the children get messy and stuck in!
9 I speak English in setting and I speak Welsh where I can and im always trying to expand my Welsh vocab.

Yesterday the childeen at Noahs ark had great fun taking a trip to the local fire station and police station in Narberth.
